Duration: Extended Half day (packed
snacks advisory, we will also stop for a snack) |
NEW "RAMBO" Night:
During the week we will lead several special "hardcore" night tours to find the Nubian Nightjar, one of the Western Palearctic's rarest birds, and the enigmatic Hume's Tawny Owl, both on the same evening. With only 10-12 pairs left in the region, Nubian Nightjar cannot be found without a local guide and special permits. Hume's Owls are rare and harder to find than before, but with intimate knowledge of the birds and the territories we are happy to maintain a very high success rate on these tours. The tour will be led by an expert guide with intimate knowledge of the species and sites. The tour is rather long and tiring, but does not involve any strenuous hiking, and the birding rewards are well worth the long haul. A large portion of this tours proceedings will go towards conservation of these critically endangered species.
