The international Eilat spring migration festival is slowly and surely establishing itself as one of the best value Birdwatching package available on the international Birdwatching calendar.
Now in its 3rd year, we have taken the time to use your constructive feedback from the previous 2 events, and have fine tuned the festival itinerary to make sure you get the most out of the festival week. The addition of the daily guided shuttle tours and the regular night excursions really added spice and action to the 2008 program and over 200 people took part in these tours.  
The specialty species tours were also a big success, most of the target birds were easily found and a wide range of real rarities (Black-Bush Robin, Turkestan Shrike, White-tailed and Caspian Plovers, Thick-billed Lark and more) were recorded on the festival tours.  
We are happy to launch the program for the March 2009 Eilat Migration Festival.
This year's event is scheduled for the 23-30 March, the peak week of Israel's spring migration.
This year's program will include some new and exciting activities for birders of all levels and the nature lovers amongst you. We have also added a wide variety of activities for the non birders in your group. You are welcome to bring your spouses and families to enjoy the excellent hotel facilities and relax while the birders in the group rough it out in the field.

Organized by the Israel Ornithological Center and the International Birding and Research Center Eilat, with the Lotan center for Birdwatching also hosting some activities, the spring migration festival aims to bring together birders from all around the world for an unforgettable event during the peak migration period in southern Israel. Besides the wealth of birds around, during the week many bird related activities will take place.
Choose from several guided (free) daily tours covering the best birding hotspots in the southern Arava. Enjoy a hand's on ringing demonstration or join one of our unique identification workshops, in the field, led by some of the biggest names in WP Birdwatching. In the evening you are welcome to have a drink and enjoy lectures and presentations from world renowned experts in their field.
